Welcome to ChoreBank. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the ChoreBank mobile application (the "App") operated by ChoreBank ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
You must be at least 18 years old to create a parent account on ChoreBank. By creating an account, you represent that you are a legal adult and have the authority to agree to these Terms on behalf of yourself and any children you add to the App.
Children under 18 may use ChoreBank only under the supervision and control of a parent or legal guardian who has an active account. Parents are responsible for all activity on child accounts within their family.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorised use.
You may delete your account at any time through the App's Settings screen. Upon deletion, your personal data and associated family data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
ChoreBank is a chore management and financial literacy tool for families. Parents assign chores with dollar values, children mark chores as complete, and parents approve completed chores. The App tracks balances in a digital wallet within the App.
ChoreBank does not hold, transfer, or manage real money. Wallet balances are informational records only, representing amounts agreed between parent and child. Any actual payments between family members are made outside the App at the parent's discretion.
ChoreBank offers a free tier and a paid "Family Pro" subscription. By subscribing to a paid plan:

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
You retain ownership of content you upload to ChoreBank, including chore descriptions and proof photos. By uploading content, you grant us a limited licence to store, display, and process it solely for the purpose of providing the App's services to you and your family.
We do not use your content for marketing, advertising, or any purpose unrelated to delivering the App's functionality.
The App, including its design, code, branding, and original content, is owned by ChoreBank and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the App without our written permission.
ChoreBank is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
ChoreBank is a chore tracking and family organisation tool. It is not a financial product, banking service, or payment platform. We do not provide financial advice.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ChoreBank and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or interruption of service.
Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ChoreBank, its operators, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another party.
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms within the App and updating the "Effective date" above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
